How Close Is Hanalei Bay Resort to the Princeville St. Regis Hotel?
Very close. The two properties are exactly adjacent to each other and little more than a stone's throw away...well okay if you've got a really good arm... However, each property sits on its own bluff and a deep ravine separates the two. Guests easily walk back and forth, or shuttle, using each property's beach access. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from HBR down the beach path to the Princeville's pool; there you can take their elevators up to their lobby, restaurants, conference rooms, etc. Keep in mind that walking back up to HBR is a steep hike in dress shoes; you might consider calling HBR's bellman to meet you at the bottom of the hill for a free ride up.
Is Internet Service available? WiFi Internet is Available to each condo unit at no additional charge. WiFi is also available in and around the lobby, the pool, and many other areas of the resort.
What are the Resort Fees? In addition to what you pay the owner to rent their unit, Hanalei Bay Resort charges a one-time, Check-In Fee of $50 per reservation. This is charged upon your arrival. Upon Check-Out, the resort will charge an additional $39/day (plus tax) for amenities such as parking and resort-wide WiFi.
Can we walk to the town of Hanalei from the Resort? Although Hanalei Bay Resort is quite close to the town of Hanalei as the crow flies, it is a long walk. Hanalei Bay Resort is located in the community of Princeville which is on a bluff. The Hanalei River also separates the two areas. The easiest way to get to the town of Hanalei from Princeville is by car. It's about an 8 mile drive on a two lane road, down the bluff and across the Hanalei Bridge. The beach below Hanalei Bay Resort is on the northeast corner of Hanalei Bay and very close to the Hanalei Pier. However, you can only walk as close as the mouth of the river. As long as the river isn't raging, it's just a short swim (or deep wade) to get to the other side.
