Poipu Sands is a highly rated condo resort property with 1 and 2 bedroom condo suites available for nightly vacation rentals. It is located in Kauai's Poipu area within a couple hundred yards of Shipwreck Beach and is part of the extensive, 70 acre Poipu Kai Resort that stretches between Poipu's 3 most popular beaches; Shipwreck Beach on the east to Brennecke Beach and Poipu Beach on the west. You can easily walk to all three beaches from Poipu Sands as they are all less than a mile apart. Also within walking distance is the elaborate Grand Hyatt Resort and Spa which is right next door with over 11 restaurants and bars. Many other eating options are close by ranging from T-shirt casual to island elegant.

Poipu Sands is comprised of 5 low rise multi-unit buildings that face the ocean and have wonderful south facing views. Each unit has its own private outdoor covered lanai. The grounds are spacious and the resort has its own swimming pool and tennis court for guests which are not shared with other properties within Poipu Kai Resort. Guests also have access to 9 other shared tennis courts of Poipu Kai.

Other activities nearby (besides the beaches) include shopping at Poipu Shopping Village, the town of Koloa, and the new Kukui'ula Village Shopping Center with restaurants, galleries and shops - all just a short drive away. If golf is your thing, there are two courses nearby: world famous Poipu Bay Golf Course and Kiahuna Golf Course.

The Maha'ulepu Trail, is a wonderful hiking trail along the wilderness shoreline that begins just on the other side of Shipwreck Beach and runs north to Keoneloa Bay on top of the sea cliffs. This trail includes beautiful views, native flora, cultural sites, and interesting geological features.
