Both VOA and AOA Members at Hanalei Bay Resort are Welcome On This Forum

There are two types of ownerships at Hanalei Bay Resort; Timeshare and whole ownership.

1. Those that own fractional shares (one or two week timeshare interests) are VOA owners.
2. Those that own whole units (all 52 weeks) are part of the AOAO members.

The VOA and AOAO each have their own respective associations. Members of both associations (all owners) have an interest in Hanalei Bay Resort and are welcome to participate on this forum. Some issues discussed here are specific to one group or the other. Please keep this in mind when posting.

Friends of mine just used our timeshare week and were charged a $25 check in fee -- I thought only aoao guests had to pay this. Anyone know what's up?

VOA exchangers or those that rent the timeshare units through sites like Expedia or Hotels.com get charged as well. This is an energy fee. This fee would also include anyone who uses an owners unit. Whole owners also get charged this fee and of course their guests do too. Contact your VOA board members for more information. Their email addresses are on the TPI website.
